Minor Arcana · Swords

Thinking and conflict: a stalemate; avoiding a hard choice by refusing to look.
Thinking and conflict: confusion and overload, or the decision you avoided can no longer wait.
The Two of Swords shows a blindfolded figure holding two crossed blades, a picture of emotional stalemate. In love, you may be avoiding a decision or protecting your heart by refusing to look closely. Balance is possible, but only once you allow yourself to see.
Reversed, the blindfold is slipping. Information you avoided comes to light, or pressure forces a choice. It may feel uncomfortable, yet it ends the limbo. Let yourself feel what you have been holding at arm's length.
At work, you may be stuck between two options or trying to stay neutral in a conflict. The Two of Swords suggests pausing to weigh things carefully, but not indefinitely. Gather the facts you are missing.
Reversed, indecision may now be costing you, or conflicting advice leaves you overwhelmed. Staying neutral is no longer an option. Consider trusting your own judgement and choosing, even if neither path is perfect.
Financially, you may be postponing a decision or avoiding looking directly at a problem. Balance is needed, and so is honest information. Remove the blindfold and compare your options side by side on paper.
Reversed, a financial dilemma may come to a head, pushing you to decide. Too many opinions can add to the confusion. Consider focusing on the few facts that matter most, and on what you can live with.
Take off the blindfold, look at both options honestly, and choose.
