Something ends to make room for a new start.
Resisting change; the old will not go, so the new cannot come.
Death rarely speaks of literal endings; in love, it signals transformation. An old pattern, a chapter or a way of relating is closing so something more authentic can grow. This can mean a deeper stage in a relationship, or a clean ending that makes room for renewal.
Reversed, you may be resisting a change that is already underway, holding on to a relationship or a hope that has run its course. The old will not leave, so the new cannot arrive. Gently ask what you are afraid to let go of.
At work, one phase is ending and another is beginning. It might be a role, a project or an outdated way of working. Welcoming the change, rather than mourning it too long, helps you step into what comes next.
Reversed, you may be staying in a job or approach long after it stopped serving you. Fear of change can keep you stuck in something that is quietly draining you. Consider what a gradual transition could look like.
Financially, Death points to clearing out and starting fresh, such as ending a habit, closing an old account or restructuring your approach. A cleaner slate can be empowering. Let go of what no longer works.
Reversed, you may be clinging to old financial habits that are not helping you, or avoiding a necessary change. Stagnation can be costly. Consider taking one practical step toward the reset you already know you need.
Let one thing that has run its course come to an end, and notice the space it leaves.
